Coilovers with camber plate
Hi everyone. I’ve been away for some years and absent from MX5 world. NB say in garage for long time and now everything makes noise. I’ve registered the car but thinking of coilovers upgrade with some camber adjustment. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good reliable set for under 2k. It’s mainly comfort and static look and will not be racing. Cheers

Re: Coilovers with camber plate
No coilovers for MX-5s have camber plates, someone who knows more about suspension geometry and setups could explain why.
For added camber you need either adjustable upper arms, or extended lower ball joints. I went with the ball joints myself.

As for coilovers, a lot of people are liking Shockworks, from somewhere down south, Victoria or SA, I think. Or MCA in Queensland, they have a variety of options. I'm not sure what either brand costs. Personally, coilovers is one place I think it pays to spend your money.

Simples: MX5s don't have strut suspensions.
Yeah, two basic methods, offset inner bushes either in upper or lower positions, or extended lower BJs at the lower front outer. The other option is aftermarket arms with adjusters. Mania do a set for the rear, which I run. Front are available too, don't know if Mania stock them though.
Noise? What sort of noise is pushing you to coilovers? How many Kms on the car? Stock suspension?
I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)
