I'm looking at replacing the plastic coolant tank as a precautionary measure as I have heard they fail at the neck of the bottle.
There are after market aluminium ones available as well as the Genuine Mazda part LFG1-15-350B and LFG1-15-350C.
Does anyone know what the difference is between the B and C part number? Both seem to be available.

Re: NC coolant tank
No idea on the "B" and "C" mine has the code LFG 115 350 and K1054 on it. Is genuine Mazda. Purchased from MX5 Mania for an 05' - 13' NC.
Where are you purchasing from?

Re: NC coolant tank
I can only find references for the LFGB-15-350C online.
There's a LF8B-15-350B but that's for a Mazda3 of the same era...

I think the C is just a later version. So I've been told on another forum now.

Re: NC coolant tank
MX5 Parts UK show over $100 shipping to Australia. Might be an error but the plastic tank keeps showing AU $102.43 to ship. And that's not viable.
The Alloy one is only AU $36.90 shipping.

Re: NC coolant tank
There is a mistake on the MX5 Parts site , the alloy tank is cheaper to post(about half the cost) than the plastic one !! Total including freight was $284 aus .And you are right about good service Red Bullet, ordered on a Thursday arrived the following Tuesday!

Re: NC coolant tank
It could be correct. Different items may get shipped from different locations/businesses. They might be using a dropshipper model.
Also might explain the quick delivery, it's not coming from the UK but somewhere a lot nearer.
