What and what???

We've already established where the interconnect plug should be and there is no extra relay required.
Just to fill you two guys in.
My problem is the interconnect plug is not where it should be as I had to pull apart the whole rear parcel tray a year or so ago to change the BOSE amp so my wiring is likely under the plastic from when I put it all back together. BTW the NC parcel shelf has multiple pieces and does not come apart in 2 seconds. There is a reason the service that requires the intank fuel filter change is so much more expensive than any other service. It's a PITA.

As per madmort's picture earlier that's where the interconnect plug should be.
I have yet to dig in there properly yet as the hardtop removal is a 2 person job. The soft-top is currently folded down on the parcel shelf.

So no, nothing like a NA/NB. And that's not correct regarding NB8B's. You just swapped the cable from the glass softop demister to the hardtop, no extra relay. Hell why would a NB8A be different to a NB8B. NA I could understand with the plastic Window.
And an NC with Bluetooth. Ahhh, nope. Mazda Australia kept them in the stone age all the way to the end.

Hardtop came off.
Pulled all the clips out of the main parcel tray to allow it to move around a bit. BTW You still cannot remove it like this as it interlocks with other parts.
I can touch the wiring loom with my finger tips but there is no way I can get it out from where it is.
Would require all the plastic to be removed again, including both seats.
Not worth the hours of work so I will have to live with the hardtop not having the demister connected.
Only way it would happen now is if something under there fails that needs changing, that would be BOSE Amp or the Fuel Pump.

As I said Luke, my demister was not connected all this last winter and I had no trouble at all with the rear window fogging or misting. The car is garaged so I suppose that helps.

Nope, not coming out that easy.
There is insulation and other stuff in there that it's between. Sort of wedged in there.
