I'll be getting a Robbins top soon for my 10AE and I"m looking for recommendations for a good top installer in Melbourne.
Who have you used? Were you happy? How much should one budget for the install? Thanks.

Re: Softop installers in Melbourne?
I had a very good experience with these folk a few years back on an NC

It was an insurance job as it turned out so don't know the price. They suggested that a few years previously somebody had tried to get into the car with a screw driver and bent a stay, that eventually gave out. The external evidence was a slight indentation on the rubber around the rear bodywork. The indentation lined up with the bent stay. The insurance company agreed and covered the full cost.

Can't recommend anyone in the eastern suburbs, only someone in the outer SE suburbs. Re cost, factor in about a days labour at $100 per hour - yes it's a time consuming & consequently expensive job, hence many tackle it themselves: https://www.miata.net/garage/garagetops.html

Thanks all for the ideas. Might have an initial chat with the chap from SE suburbs. Would you happen to have his contact details?
