Never stopped doing that.

Car left for 3 weeks with the cruise “on” and it started no problems. So the software fix clearly worked because 14 days would have been the limit before.

It seems however, that Mazda are only installing the software patch on vehicles where the customer has complained. Despite acknowledging that all Pre-Mid-May-17 build RFs have the problem, they don’t seem to have made it a automatic “next service” item.

Good to hear the software fix worked, I"ll be sure to tell them to fix it when mines in for a service.

Mazda acknowledged all Pre-May-17 build RFs have the problem in their Worldwide TSB (published Dec 17). But people are still having to fight with their dealers (here and in the US) to get them to install the software fix.

Mazda USA have started sending letters to affected RF owners asking them to bring in their cars for a software upgrade. So in the USA they are actually alerting customers to the problem. I wonder if Mazda Australia will?
