Hi,
I'd be grateful for people's thoughts. As preventative maintenance I want to replace the flexible brake hoses on my NA. I see the non-Madza ones do not have the locating pin on the banjo coupling. Is this a problem?
Any suggestions as to which brand is best?
Thanks,
Tim

Braided stainless lines are a big step up from OEM rubber in terms of feel and control. You need ADR approved. If you're worried about fit then go for an MX5 specialist supplier. I'd go with these from Mania

Edit: I bought mine from Mania. No locating pins. No problem yet and they've been in for 15 years

HEL braided lines are a very common choice, and while they don't have the locating pins, the 100's or even 1000's of sets out there suggest it isn't a concern.
These braided lines are in stock for all years of MX-5:

Thanks for the helpful advice. I'll get a set from MX5 Mania when they re-open.

The clutch line there is very tempting too, Brendan
