Yes. I saw a photo of him dated 2010 which makes him look like he hadn't much time left, so 10 years and reaching 90 was probably an achievement.

Thanks for posting that classic photo of him, his taste in cars was clearly exquisite!

The original photo was one of the great photos - an actor that made a real impression - adding the MX_5 is simply not right.

Not at all MM, that is a great photoshop, very subtle. The angle, shape and colour mimic the original, even down to the angle of the front wheel.

I think it caught a lot of people, it certainly went through to the keeper on my first view. I was watching the views count, waiting for the first post to note it. You will note that my post was carefully phrased, so as to not give the game away, and I think about 30 or 40 views, maybe more, had occurred before Taminga pulled the pin.

Except Connery is young in the photo, so it's from the 60s or 70s, and the NC is from the ~2010 :mrgreen:

I don't know how anyone would think it was authentic.

I think the photo is cute and fun - especially for an MX-5 forum, but probably not the right photo to commemorate his life.
