Energy Poly Bush Install issue

hello all. I have had a set of control arm bushings for ages and am finally getting around to installing them.

i am one arm in and have issues.

i watched a video where they did one arm at a time and reinstalled them as they went and that seemed like a good way of doing it to me so I started with that.

i started on the drivers side upper arm. getting it off was easy. getting the bushes our was also easy. getting the bushes in was easy.

however getting the arm back on is not...

i cant get it to line up with the hub upright after putting the bolts through in the inboard part of the arm. as per below pic - any tips or tricks?

More force. Worked for me when I did this job a while back.
Or loosen the lower control arm bolts a little to allow more flex.

Also how did you get the bushings out?
Only ask to see if you used the method that risks bending the arms.
Post the link that was showing you how to do it.

Also did you do the bush in the knuckle? Makes no difference to your problem, just curious.

here is the link to the video showing me how to do it - only used it for the purposes of what order and bolts need to get undone.

to get the bushings out i used a 2 jaw puller. i just put a nut on the end of it to give it a bit more surface area to push them out. to be fair my bushings seemed in pretty good condition so it wasn't hard. this one to be exact. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-toolpro-gear-puller-2-jaw-75mm/12542.html

and yes i did the bush in the knuckle.

i used a F clamp to put the bolt sleeves into the bushings. the bushings i just put in by hand.

i will mark the alignment and loosen all the bolts on the lower arm to give me some more wiggle room.

I don't think mine lined up exactly, but that looks like it's out a decent amount. The upper arm looks too close to the shock in the photo, might be the angle? I recall some bushes have thicker flanges on one side to the other, and so go in different positions despite looking nearly identical. Could you have the flanges back to front?

Adjust your camber bolts till it's square. When you adjust the toe to swings the whole knuckle in an arc. Judging from the amount it's out of alignment I'd say the front bolt is at 3o'clock/max negative camber and the rear is in the opposite position. If both your camber bolts are at 12o'clock then you have other issues.

thanks for all the help guys it worked out fine with loosening the camber bolts.

i have put all the bushes in the lower arm now so am waiting for some time to try and install that back in.
