Hey guys, I managed to **stupidly** break the glass on my NB hardtop. Any suggestions for where to go (Victoria) for a replacement?
Thanks in advance!

Re: NB hardtop replacement glass needed
Good luck with that! I'd not be optimistic, but start with the usual suspects - windscreen replacement places.
Advertise on WTB here for a poor quality hardtop that can be cannibalised, FB ebay etc, when I needed one I used one from a damaged HT then sold off the HT with no window. Also people like Deckspeed, Mania who may have one left over from racecar builds.
The alternative is to replace with perspex or acrylic, at least as a temporary fix.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Re: NB hardtop replacement glass needed
I would start with checking around with people / businesses in Vic who restore and renovate older cars - e.g. Healey Factory might have an idea of someone capable. Window glass for older cars s certainly being sourced somewhere. You could ring the MX-5 factory who might have an idea. Some business must be capable of doing it and using the hard top for the size . Perhaps a US forum may have some clues though its a long pipe line. It may even be possible to to do it with polycarbonate. or acrylic. 93s informedo is worth a call.

Re: NB hardtop replacement glass needed
About 18 months ago, A1 windscreens in Hallam (Melverton Dr) said they could source me a rear screen for an MX5. Now I didnt take much notice whether it was for a hardtop or softtop as I was only looking for a price for a front one. They were scrolling through what was available in stock from the supplier when he mumble rear screen. My ears pricked up with susprise and asked how much.... I was a lot.
Veh Glass in Campbellfeild make custom glass.
www.fronstfighter.com do various sizes in universal demister kits.
As mentioned, there are guys in the states replacing glass with polycarbonate. Its lighter and dont have to worry about smashing it. If this is a route you take, thicker poly will need to be heated to bend. This is an exercise in patience as too much heat too quickly will form small bubbles.
