FWIW, my Raybrigs, and I can't say for certain they're not fake but appear OK to me, didn't come with any bulbs at all. I have seen them sold with bulbs but the box is different than mine and I've also seen them sold with the same box I have so I'm guessing you can buy them either way.

Made & replaced the window bush in my drivers door.
Took a bit of messing around, but now it's in the window is faster and the door is so much quieter.
Totally worth a half a day stuffing about.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
I finally got around to retro-fitting air conditioning into the NA. All the under-bonnet components are in, so the only remaining task is to fit the evaporator under the dash. I'm also going to fit new carpet, so it will be a complete strip-out of the interior and dash.

Installed some Craven Speed door bushings. Impressed with how much more solid the car feels. Super easy job.
Doors seem to sit slightly higher when closed now too, hoping the better contact between the windows and roof seals stops some of the rain leaking in.

Finally managed to remove a spider that's kept making webs over my passenger mirror for months! Survived water hosing, compressed air, all sorts of items poked around, even insect spray ... today it showed itself and I managed to flick it off on to the ground. Didn't have the heart to kill it after it survived so much, so caught it and placed it in the garden a long way away from the car

Built a new splitter and radiator air feed.
Quick release splitter meant I needed a way of feeding air to the radiator that was not fixed to the bumper.

It's a race car only so not too much water on the race track and have a cover for those really bad days.
The factory mount is only about 20cm higher in the same location.

- get rid of the honeycomb grille then, it's limiting airflow
Also consider adding a top "shelf" that forces all the incoming air to flow into the radiator.

I like your thinking....
The grill may be difficult as there are 2 mounting points in the grill and delete these is not possible. But I will play around with that idea as it would limit airflow.
I like the idea of the "Top shelf" .. that will happen.
This was version 1.0 out on minimum thickness alloy so V2.0 will be using a little thicker alloy for better rigidity.
Do you know if the "top shelf should be at the very top or about 3/4 the way up?

Finally fitted coilovers. They are Endless Function X hard springs. I know some will say "they are built for Japanese roads which are smoother than ours" but having travelled in Japan myself I can confirm their roads are in no better condition (and in some places actually quite terrible). The first picture is before fitment for comparison.

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Installed some new/old audio. The 6 CD stacker/radio/cassette is from a 2002 Mazda Tribute and many of you will know it was a popular 'upgrade' for the NA back in the day. My first choice was to find an OEM radio/cassette but they are rare, lack the CD option and now over 30 years old. This unit gives me my 'green' fix and will play the old 'mix' tapes when I need a true escape back to the 90's
Plenty of online resources on 'how to fit'. Unit was $145 on eBay (although I did buy a 2nd cheaper unit to pick up the cassette module and provide me with a 'practice' piece). Only downside so far - it's 2Kg heavier than the Alpine headunit it replaces! There's my next job..
