I love my NB8A but I'm not too happy with the leather seats.
I've found a fair amount of postings here on Ricaro seats, but I'm not looking for racing seats that make entry any harder.
My question is what are the most comfortable standard MX5 seats that I could fit straight onto the existing seat rails, with no (or very little) modification.
Of course, 'most comfortable' is subjective, but as a 1.80m 70kg driver, I'm thinking there must be better seats than my present ones.

Re: NB seat replacement
NB8B seats are the only half decent OEM seats for NA/NB. They come in cloth or leather. You want this shape (note the "surfboard" head rest):

Re: NB seat replacement
The NB8A had the worst seats in my opinion. As mentioned, the NB8B seats are a good improvement and swap straight over. Cloth will stop you sliding around as much, depends what type of driving you do. My driving is very tame these days, so I prefer the leather seats for the ease of climbing in and out.
Just reading your post again, I'm 182cm and 76kg and I find my SE's seats very comfortable, even on the touring drives we've done Interstate.

Thanks guys.
I'll see if I can find a wrecker with some surfboard seats available.

Re: NB seat replacement
The Mazdaspeed seats are an option if looking for something factory-ish. They're good, but if you don't care about the blink I honestly preferred regular cloth NB8B seats.
