More work done today. Will be painting the primed areas in the pictures so I can fit some body panels that will probably never be removed. So hyped :P

Commonly gets mistaken for Mazda Sparkle Green. It’s only slightly lighter and a hint more blue.

Some more progress on Hakuna.
Windscreen has been removed and uncovered some rust (that I was fairly confident was there). Rust removed, rust converter applied and now she’s all primed!

Finished painting the rear guards and fitted the GV air deflectors and Rev9 flares. Had to trim the GV deflectors so the flares would fit.
Started prepping the US Racing Sports Bumper also. Full sand down and a bit of spray putty for the little imperfections.
And a little bit more rust removal. Only surface rust so I wire wheeled it and rust converted it. Respray is getting so damn close.

I can almost guarantee you most NAs have a bit of rust at the bottom corner of the windscreen frame (they either haven't found it yet or the car has never gotten wet).

I bet most cars that have had a replacement windscreen have got a bit of rust hiding below. Hopefully I won’t need another windscreen for some time :P

Been quiet with Covid 19 but now that it’s settling down I’ve got back into the mx5. Hoping to throw down some primer on the whole car this weekend if the weather is right.

Love the paint booth!
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Shell is green again! Hopefully bringing it home next weekend and then I can start buttoning it back up. Now to do all of the panels :D
