Getting closer
Jobs finished
-Finished my coolant re-route i needed to dodge the plazmaman clamp
-Finished my valve cover all painted and sealed up
-Ported the manifold was close but every little bit counts
-Sorted out bolts for plenum spacer Skunk2's bolts are too short they dont work with the BP manifold
-Re-wired all my incabin gauges
-Tested rpm signal with the Haltech to check my wiring (got it to sweep to 8,000rpm when turned on )
Just waiting on a inlet manifold gasket and almost ready to tune it. i want to tune it get it to its happy power level and then the plance is to pull the Auto and have it checked and upgraded.

What time does it have to run before you are required to run a full cage, etc? Or do the Test'n'Tune events have no restrictions?

For ADRA tracks (Calderpark for me )11.0 i think was my cut off but as it has the rollbar im trying to get a ticket to go 10.0 and if i run under that i just wont come back. As for Heathcote there is no rule just if the car looks safe you can run it down the tack .

Motor all sealed up.
all i though i had left was 1 wire and Vac block hose to go but ive just learnt that i have a 12+1 trigger wheel not a 36-2 so im stuffed and i need to order a trigger wheel from the USA before i can do anything else.

Pretty sure that trigger wheel will only work with the SM damper, Daffy.
The Bartune one is local and should work with an OEM damper

i need a 4 tooth trigger after advice from Haltech due to the softwares internal formula and it needs to suit the supermiata damper they are different to the ATI and OEM Balancer.

Re: SLOWMX5 --- Trying to make a slow MX5 fast---
Finally running !!
I couldn’t get my head around why the car wouldn’t run turns out i wired the coils as 4-3-2-1 instead of 1-2-3-4 so backwards car runs like a dream probably smoother than ever Haltech FTW.
Our plan was to setup all cruising fuels and timing and do a base line run well its base is 28psi as i chose too small an external gate for a GTX style Turbo but run what you brung so we got fuels and everything else flat with minimal timing and rich fuels and then we hit a snag its spinning tyres on the roller dyno (partly my fault it’s still got MT Streets on) and its hitting harder than before only 2 psi but the new setup is working and Air temps is killer so we called it with a plan of going to a hub dyno in future.
its 20 rwkw less than my old setup with much richer fuels at 11.5 and 9 degrees less spark Which is a great start and the Tuner is saying its coming on harder and earlier which is going to be all due to Dann’s manifold cause it’s a larger rear housing and front compressor.
Lets throw 35psi at it and see what she does hopefully it holds together
So All great news

I like reading this build.
Wonder if you should document it all on video and try to make some $ on Youtooob?
