I just finished putting my car back together after painting my valve cover and doing some tidying up. I used Duplicolor Metalcast paint. I think it looks alright. It looks kinda like a blood red :NB8B:

Even though the MX is small, it is suprising that it is not so uncomfortable to be upside down under the dash.
On a recent manual conversion to the family car (Legnum), I spent considerable time upside down under the dash. Now that was uncomfortable. I had also tweaked my back moving the trans. It took me a quite a few minutes and a large amount of swearing to get out from a painful position.

I find it so much easier with the top off.

Removing the seat also makes it much more comfortable.

I finally got my bikini top sorted. I bought it off a member interstate a few years ago, & due to a communication error re type of roll bar, it didn’t fit my car, so it went into the too hard basket.
Now that it’s done I’m kicking myself. It only took an afternoons work & $85 at the upholsterer.

That's excellent. A bikini top is on my want list! I'm sure it's on lots of people's want lists

My zip down window provides the same air flow effect, but doesn't look nearly as cool!

bolts not tight enough, but instead of bolts flying out, the sprocket should just have gone to max retard.....the bolts should have stayed in no matter what. We fixed it all up. New belt, new crank sprocket filede down sharp edges on the cam sprocket. New bolts. new washers. all nice & tight. the next day on the test drive the other side does the same.

I replaced the intake one totally. With an OEM one. it was beyond repairing. I drove around with a allen key to insure exit Cam sprocket wasn't coming loose again. I also left all the covers off in-case a bolt comes out & flies away rather than flying around inside covers causing damage to the belt & spockets.

Fixing exit Camgear, new bolts , re-thread , new washers.

We filed off & smoothed out the teeth on this cam-gear to spare the cam belt.
Damage on inlet Cam-gear.jpg

this cam gear totally blew up & it was retired to the dust bin. Replaced with a non adjustable OEM inlet cam gear
