Timing belt 2006 NC auto.

Postby enyaw » Wed Jul 03, 2019 11:42 pm

Hi, Who can tell me about the timing belt/chain in my 2006 NC. The car is coming up to 100,000 kms and I cannot find anything in the manual about the need for replacement. Normally I would guess that now after 13 years and 100k kms it should be replaced.
Also I do not know if it is a belt or a chain.

Thanks for your responses.

NC's are chain. Good for the life of the motor? Although there are reported tensioner problems.

Check out the NC section of the big forum.

Hi OMY005
Thanks for that info. So far I haven't been able to find out much about this issue.

Any Mazda service centre can tell you these things. The service manual would not list it because its not a service requirement.

Thanks Mr. Morlock,

I don't get my NC serviced by a Mazda dealer. However that would have been one angle of enquiry.
But I also gather that is what this forum is all about.

Thanks for the replies.
