I have the kelford cams as well from decks. Mine is a very sweet road car

Off to Lakeside this Sunday for a morning general practice session.
The 2.5 has just clicked over 1000k’s too so will give it an oil and filter change tomorrow plus some fresh brake fluid too.
Hopefully I’ll also have RaceChrono dowloaded as well. Should be interesting to get a time comparison.

Had a fun morning as part of the general practice session at lakeside today. Open pit lane meant you could come and go as you pleased and take your time to get a clear lap.
No video I’m afraid as the battery didn’t charge. It’s the type that charges off the computer but not sure f the computer is switched off - doh!
I also had a flat battery this morning thanks to my 5yr old son leaving the drivers door open after a late visit to the garage!!! However, it did lead to a “proud father” moment as he gave me a push so I could jump start it!
I got a 40 odd laps in and burnt through a full tank of fuel. The car felt much stronger on corner exit and faster down the straights. I also kept the suspension on the road settings which really helped. Several corners were much less drama than last time on the track settings, mainly due to the bumps being soaked up better.
I did however run out of brakes a couple of times, mainly due to the fact I was spending much more continuous time on track but also the extra speed carried into the braking zone.
Still, I had a fair few laps in the mid 62’s and a best of 62.3 which is over 2.5 seconds faster than last time. Hey think I had another 0.5 seconds to find in the two main braking zones but I’m happy with that.
One final thing I’d say is I still feel the car is over tyred. So there may be a set of near new ROF01’s for sale soon.

Thanks, I really enjoyed it, the most fun I’ve had at the track yet in this car. The 2.5 really brings the NC to life on track. Having read a bit about how the long stroke makes it sluggish I wasn’t sure what to expect but it revs out really sweetly and is strong all the way to 7k rpm. I have the limiter set at 7250. The softer damper settings also made for a more enjoyable and faster time.

Thanks, yes I’m a happy bunny. Although I have a couple of new areas to work on :mrgreen: but that’s half the fun!
I’ve ordered a set of EBC Yellow pads and I need to have a look at the clutch which needs a bit of adjustment. Will give it a bleed first. I found the gears were stiff and occasionally crunched in downshifting.
However, the biggest issue and potentially serious was the exhaust manifold contacting the steering column on left handers. I’ll post a pick up and see if anyone else has had this problem.

Appreciate that, thanks. It does feel like I can really start to drive this thing properly now! I’m doing another general practice session in July, it’s great value @ $120 for unlimited laps on a weekend.

Hey Custard, I just bought a GPS to for the RaceChrono setup. I'll be using it for the first time this weekend at Wakefield. Do you have any tips? Do you just set on the lap time delta screen press record and and go?

I had the same with my Goodwin header. I swapped it to a Racing beat header and no touchies any more.

I find it very frustrating that many of the US parts suppliers don't take RHD into account when designing parts or at least warn us that they don't know if the bits will fit our cars. On a side note, I have read FAB9 turbo stuff doesn't fit RHD
