Ive got a gwr header, oem mid pipe and cobra race muffler and the drone at 3k revs is becoming a major pain on the road but sounds pretty epic at max revs on the track! I still have the oem muffler and seriously considering putting it back on.
How do you find your set up on the street?

street setup is ideal. I have the same header as you with the GWR mid pipe (Non hermholtz) and now the super q. awesome sound with no drone at all!

I have a GWR race muffler for the track days, which I haven't done for a long time now.

I just refitted the oem muffler too. Thanks for the feedback on the Super Q . Interesting that you don’t need the Hermholtz mid pip thingy. I’ll probably go the same route once the 2.5 is in.
Did GWR ship the race muffler? I’d be interested if you ever want to pass it on?

Well, that was quick. Less then 24hrs after I advertised it I had a deposit in my hand.

The car will be picked up in the following days, along with a car load of standard and extra parts.

Its been an awesome time, I'm hoping im not out of the MX5 game for too long.

Well the NC has now been gone for 3 or so months now. Do I miss it?? Hell yeah I do! soo many good memories!

luckily dad has a NC also, albeit stock its still fun to drive

I'll be back in a MX5 one day soon, Perhaps a ND to use as a weekender.

Bob, the new owner of the car up in Newcastle is loving every minute of it

The Golf just doesn't have the same feeling. its bloody quick and almost has too much grip, pretty lifeless through the steering wheel compared to the NC. but it is a good daily driver sitting in the old Sydney traffic. maybe my opinion will change the more I drive it. its only done 2800km in the 4 months i've owned it. (have just returned from a 8 week Euro holiday)
