Yeah but the clear tint doesn't reflect as much as much heat so if I'm going to spend the money I may as well get the most benefit.

Anyone know the correct Works Bell boss for the NA? I'm considering adding a quick release. I'm not the smallest bloke so it'd make getting in and out a lot easier plus it adds some security. I'm finding some conflicting info on which boss kit is correct though.

Listed as being 40mm, I assume you want as short as possible as the quick release is going to add some to the overall length? I have the seat fair way forward (which contributes to making it harder to enter./exit) as although I'm average height my legs are on the shorter side so I think having the steering wheel as far forward as possible would be the best option.

I'm guessing these probably aren't legal for a road car but have I got the right parts?

Hey apsilon, where did you get the exhaust from? How is the drone on it? Do you have video of how it sounds ?

I contacted supermiata and they wanted 11500USD delivered, wasn’t sure if that was right..

Looks all the right parts that will physically fit your car..
However, Short boss kit + quick release may even push the steering wheel closer to you compared with oem setup. Take into account the steering wheel you’re using as well

From memory, the quick release isn’t a small unit. Your reach to the indicators will be affected, sometimes to the point you’ll have to take your whole hand off the steering wheel to reach the indicator.

I got the catback from Supermiata but it was cheaper to use a freight forwarder to ship it over. There's a while long story about that but I'll just say avoid using Shipito. The header I got from Japan via RHDJapan. No video etc though there are several on Youtube from others. I still need to do the cat, I've reused the original for now but will get a high flow soon.

The quick release I already have all the parts, I've had them for a few weeks. Haven't had time to fit them yet. Maybe the June long weekend. We'll see how the reach goes once installed, I can always remove it and go back to stock.

Shipito has previously been pretty good for me but most recent shipment has been a real stuff up (and it had a critical part for me),

I will give MyUS a try now.

Shipito essentially attempted to defraud me. They got caught out because I'm stubborn and didn't blindly accept their answer but I'd bet they've got away with it countless times before.

I used to use MyUS, they're service went way downhill (as most freight forwarders seem to have) and started mixing up items from other users, losing items etc and didn't really want to know about it. Wouldn't recommend them either TBH.

Hey man, how hard was it to swap out the Bushings?

I’m guessing you need a press of some sort or the removal?

Just watched a video from Maruha motors and surprisingly, they pushed it In by hand! Looked effortless

It wasn't hard but you couldn't do it by hand. I've heard some people use a G clamp or similar but I splashed out and bought a bushing install/removal press from ebay for about $150. It'as basically some threaded rod and a large selection of sized cups. Time consuming to use as the rods are way longer than necessary so there's a lot of winding the nuts on and off but I didn't want to cut them down and not be able to use them for other applications in the future and I wasn't in a hurry.

Having re-read your thread this morning, I noticed you mentioned the added rollover protection from a roll bar.

My car came with a Brown Davis rollbar which I removed and sold, car definitely felt softer without it, it didn’t turn in as well. However, the mounting points of the 2 rear points bolt onto the thin metal ontop of your boot. There’s about 30cm of empty space between that layer and the floor of the boot. I don’t imagine it holding up very well during a rollover.

It also rubbed on my hardtop roof as well. Here’s a photo of mine after I removed it.

I’ve been eyeing out the AGI rollbar, seems like that bolts more to the rear wall, where your rain railing goes. They’re CAMS approved aswell, and there’s a hardtop version which sits a little lower, clearing the hardtop.

Thanks, yeah it was the AGI I was looking at more so than the BD. Still haven't decided if I'll go ahead with it or not.

Lot more to come, haven't done anything over summer. Too hot to work outside and other things on my plate anyway. Still have the brakes (pads rotors and lines), wheel bearings, headunit, speakers, a manual steering rack and a few other little things all sitting on the shelf waiting to get done. Now the weather is cooling down I hope to find some time.
