NA Windsceen

Anyone know if there is a supplier in Australia for a replacement windscreen that DOESN'T have the tint at the top of the screen?

An old lead, but might work:
Drek wrote:If it's of any interest to anyone, years ago I was speaking to Peter Moran at Moran Motor Glass at Tingalpa (Brisbane), about a kit car screen. He was telling me that he is the manufacturer, of just about every type of screen available in Australia (he was getting them made in Vietnam to ADR specs), and he also supplied O'briens. He has a huge warehouse with some very odd screens on the racks. The screens I bought from him were absolutely perfect in every way(black bordered and tinted), and obviously would need to be perfect for ADR's, and very reasonably priced. It may be possible to order a tint free screen from him, or ask him what his screens include as far as mirror mounts etc.

I got mine from Moran Motor Glass in Wakerly Brisbane (33908855). I had to wait quite a while to have it made in Vietnam and shipped . They may well have bought a few extras in, give them a call. I got mine in November 18

I maybe removing mine soon, from memory it does not have the tint at the top of the screen. Can check it has a windscreen banner on it so hard to see the tint (if any).

Mind me asking what damage it did to your bank account? I'm curious

What are the wires about?

I'm assuming you've bought one with a demister rather than standard?

Yes it is a heated windscreen so the fan, HVAC and heater can be removed :)

A group buy was done a while ago, however it took almost 10 months and a lot oh heartache to get them... I'm not sure if the person in Australia is still doing them https://www.facebook.com/motorsportwindscreens.com.au/ the person is very difficult to deal with.

You could go straight to the source https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/ whilst the website has no MX5 listed you would need to ask about them.

In reply to Skivy. Sorry about the delay, but I paid $ 240 fitted. I'm happy with the screen and the fitting, they even managed to rescue and refit a couple of stickers.

No point in dealing with him then.
