No decent engineer would ever deliberately design in flex. They may accept some flex, as too expensive/heavy/impractical to remove it totally but that's totally different to designing it in in the first place..

Exactly. What's perfect for one is crap to another. Even top race drivers in same car prefer different set ups. It's completely impossible to engineer a car to suit everyone, so only ever a compromise. Hence ... we mod ......
