I'm going to need new 14" tyres soon. What do you think of the Turanza's so far?

So far they are proving to be perfectly adequate for a stock NA6. Saying that I did come from a set of very expired tyres that had zero grip, wheel spin in third gear on part throttle in the wet levels of grip.

Go up to 15" and get some decent tyres like re003. The difference between re003s and the 14" falkens I had was night and day. I resisted for a long time because I love the look of my 14" Watanabe's but the lack of good tyres pushed me to change to 15s.

14" Watanabe's is a tough act to follow! What wheels do you have now?

Enkei RP01s 15×7 +35. No where near as aesthetically pleasing as the Wats but it's worth the compromise for the tyre choices that have been opened up.

I'm driving on Dunlop Sport FM800s which have been impressive in the rain and the dry grip feels like enough to sheer the wheels off, but I can only compare them to much cheaper tyres. Does enyone else have an opinion on the FM800?

Bit of an update - not saying these are best or even suitable for street use, but just what seems to currently be available in higher end 14" tyres:
Toyo Proxes R888R
Dunlop Direzza Z3
Falken Azenis RT615K+
Yokohama Advan A050
Yokohama Advan A048

It's getting tough, isn't it Paul? Those really are all pure track tyres. I've used four of them and I wouldn't go near a public road with any of them.

It looks like Da's Dunlop Sport FM800s are the best option going. The Hankook Optima K415s are not thaaat bad either. Michelin Energy XM2 are to be avoided like the plague if you value your teeth and don't like hitting crash barriers..

I am currently running Nankang NS-2R in a 185/60 14. I think they are great. They are a semi-semi-slick. A cross-over tyre that might be used for track days rather than all out Sheep Station motorsport. These come in both 'track' and 'street' compounds.

I've heard great things about Falken Azenis RT615K+ but they're not cheap at around $700. I believe small batches are imported every year.
