Hey all I currently have a nb8a n*power 2.25 stainless muffler on stainless cat back which has developed a rattle. I think some of the insides has rattled loose. My question is regarding a replacement. I tried looking for n*power on line but they seemed to be a ebay business. I don't mind the exhaust note from this muffler which was on the car when I bought it.
I see that mania sell an xforce muffler has anyone got one
There is also smp and Loch stewart
Does anyone know where you can get these
Muffler question

Re: Muffler question
I believe N*power are no longer manufactured, but I may be wrong there.
They were basically a Chinese copy of the Racing Beat power pulse muffler, which is still available, albeit at a fair cost.
What are you looking for exactly? louder, quieter, same?
if you just want a similar kind of thing, you can see if anybody around you is wrecking an mx5 SE.
The SE muffler is a more straight through design than the standard one, and sounds pretty similar to the N*power from memory (I have an SE muffler on my car, but havent heard an Npower one in years, so i'm going off memory)

Re: Muffler question
whats your budget mate? I have a 2.5 inch magnaflow muffler thats been cut off at the axle with a tip welded on it from my nb8a. its been sitting around for ages but was fine when I replaced it because I wanted central exit twin tips.
you would need to get someone to weld a flange on it to fit but it could be a cheap option?

I recall SMP's exhausts & CAIs from some years ago, but can't seem to find them with a quick Google. Re Loch Stewart/Garry Stewart exhaust check with Rob Bliss

yeah it sounded great, it was a nice muffler. i have a hooker aero chamber muffler now. i only got it because it had the size and configuration i wanted. its loud though! i had to get glass packed tip inserts to calm it down as it was too much, especially because my car is supercharged it makes it that much louder than NA.
