Well done... and good luck with the tune. It will be interesting to hear the numbers it gets.

Fantastic. You must be so happy/relieved that the engine started.

Oh boy, I was sooo nervous. It’s been such a long build!
I had originally planned to get it done over Xmas but a certain cam supplier stuffed that up which ultimately changed the whole build spec.
I’d been planning on getting the 2.0 head ported a fitting it with a new valve train but the delay meant I had to crack on as soon as the cams eventually arrived and use the 2.5 head.
The good news is I now have a 2.0 which might get the full treatment over time
I then had major problems getting the engine out which cost me at least three weeks but once out it all moved pretty quickly tbh.

Yes, it’s going on a dyno as soon as I can get some time. Did you get yours dyno’d?

Sounds about right.
Interestingly the tuner has asked me to refit the 2.0 injectors. Any ideas why this might be preferred to the 2.5 ones?

No idea, I think I have the 2.5 injectors. I am blown away with your ability. I am good with my wallet not my spanners

Re: Custard’s Tart
Always keeping an eye on your build Custard, can't wait to see a dyno and it back on the track.
Also, if you can, post up something like RaceChrono track maps and see how things go. Would have been awesome to have a before and after to that detail but at least you have lap times to go on.
And because I'm impatient, when do we get to see the turbo build???

I’ll get something like RaceChrono, I thinks it’s Android only though but Harry’s laptimer is supposed to be good.

Re: Custard’s Tart
Today I took the advice of the tuner and put the 2.0 injectors back in and the difference was huge. With the 2.5 injectors it idled ok and ran smoothly stationary to 2k revs but on a short drive it was undriveable.
With the 2.0 ones in it was perfectly driveable so I feel much happier driving it to the tuner now.

I am using Racechrono Pro on a Lenovo Tab 3 tablet ($99 for the tablet).
This wooks really well as the Lenovo Tab 3 tablet has an inbuilt GPS receiver.
I found Racechrono much more consistent to use that Harrys and easier to download tracks. The track issue always hit me at Wakefield as phone service is a bit iffy on Vodafone and I could not load a track layout. I have not had this problem with Racechron Pro.
The other thing I like about Racechrono Pro is that you can also control your Gopro camera through the tablet which is great when you are strapped into a harness.

That sounds a good set up. Do you have a pic of how the tablet is attached in car?

Re: Custard’s Tart
As my car is a race car only I have removed the stereo and mounted a tablet cover in the whole that it clips into.
Seems to still get good GPS coverage. I have fitted a power cord in there also so now issues on batter power.
That screen is the screen you use during the race / track time but you can scroll to the side to get screens to turn on multiple Gopro's.
The 2 mounts on the dash are now removed as one was for a GPS receiver that failed and the other for the mobile ph.
