MX5 NC Dash Board Rattles

Hi Guys,

Trying to find out if any one has had this issue other than whats been put up on other forums. I've got a rattle sound coming from inside the dash that sounds like something rolling around or at times swing around inside the dash. NO Its not a lost baby rattler or a lose bolt from the sun visor over. If you can make any other suggestions that would great, i can only assume that it may be a lose screw from the vents in behind the crash pad of something inside the vent pipes ?

Might be worth checking the NC section of the Mazda Technical Service Bulletins in case it's been documented including a fix: https://www.miata.net/garage/tsb/

Thanks for that, from what I gathered it could the audio brackets. I had removed thr radio to install a Bluetooth hands free module via the cd Straker socket. Blue tooth works fine but this could be a delayed legacy.

If the rattle started after the Bluetooth addition, then that's most likely the place to re-visit.

Did you ever find the rattle?

I have exactly the same rattle and I recently (2 months ago) installed a new head unit.

Found my rattle.

A T40 Torx screw in the header came out and was rattling around in the sun visor.

One of my friends puleed down the visor and it fell out.

Happy days.
