Re: WTB / NEUTRAL SWITCH FOR SE/NB8B GEARBOX
I recently just did a replacement one of those for my Mazda Familia GT-R. I gather there's no listed aftermarket equivalent for yours in the parts catalogues?
In the end what I did for mine was try a reversing switch sensor as the neutral sensor. From a same era other Mazda. All I had to do was cut off the wiring plug from the original sensor, attach to new sensor & add an extra spacer washer to make the push-in ball the same length (though looked about the same anyway).
It wouldn't surprise me if the reverse sensor is actually the same as neutral sensor for yours. If you can find out the thread size & whether the original is open/close circuit when in neutral would useful for matching up to a replacement.
What symptoms is your car showing? Mine was mainly Idle surging.

Re: WTB / NEUTRAL SWITCH FOR SE/NB8B GEARBOX
Thanks for the info. Reverse light switches are apparently scarce too.
My problem is oil leaking through the switch somehow, thought is was the gasket/washer at first but it's not.
Just have to wait for Mazda to deliver ...................

Phil, mine did the same. I cleaned it all up with spray on brake cleaner and then immediately sealed it up with a couple of dabs of silicone. It's worked a treat ever since.
