Slightly weird title, but anyway.
At some stage I should probably get around to rerouting my cooling system, with future plans probably needing it done.
Anyway, one of the things I've noticed about most of the ones available is the horrendous access for the thermostat/hoses/etc.
I've seen the IL Motorsport one pop up on the web a few times, and it looks to be one of the most neatly engineered reroutes out there, that also takes into account not making a simple thermostat change a whole day of swearing and hatred.

Only downside is that it's for NA only.
Since I dont have a reroute handy to test-fit on an engine, does anyone know just how far of fitting an NB these are?
is it as simple as it not clearing a component like the EGR pipe (which I dont have on my NB) or is it a flat out difference in flange angle etc so it wont clear the head?
cheers.

Re: NA/NB Coolant reroute fitments
Given the il one is a cold side reroute, why not just get the super miata/949 one? The circlip makes the thermostat stay in place where installing the unit, which is 90% of the challange.
Changing the thermostat is a sh*t job regardless, but it's also something that shouldn't need attention all the time.
If you were really concerned about it, the old m-tuned kit had a remote thermostat.

That IL is an Interesting looking kit - so went hunting for info. Found some notes on the mx5parts site;
“beware; this was designed for a left hand drive installation and installing on a right-hand drive car causes some interference”
