Good pedaling Mark. Turn 1 looked smooth, as did the wheel work for most of the lap.

That's the line I've always taken at Turn 2 as well, although I've seen plenty take the double apex approach. Have you done both to see which works best according to the data?

Fairly bit cuts at turns 6 and 10 which seem to briefly upset the car resulting in a less than perfect transition back onto the throttle.

Interesting line through turn 8, and I see a few more guys taking that higher line now as opposed to to the apex. Tested that with data too, or was it slippery down around the apex or something?

. You and I take similar lines, I hop those two kerbs as well, but T10 (both actually) the car straddles the kerb, it looked like your RH wheels ran over the T10 kerb? My turn-in to T8 (Corporate) may be a bit later too.

Hopping the T10 kerb does unsettle the car a little, but the worst part is the turn-in from the concrete - that area is not rough per se, but has two or three changes in plane, and each one causes the car to lurch. However there are benefits for speed through the corner onto the straight (I think).

T2 I usually end up on the RHS of the track on exit, and basically follow the kerbing to the apex of T3 before drifting out to the LHS on exit to line up for T4 entry. I'll have to give your line a go next time I get to SMP.

I'm in the process of doing my write up for Racepak, so will post it here as well to answer some of the questions. Initially the data is a little 'scary'. Through T1 almost all the load was on the right hand two tyres over 1,000kg. That is a big ask of 205/50/15 tyres...

The front Right suspension was compressed by over 30mm from rest (10kg springs) and the rear 20mm (8kg springs).

Also have some data on the difference in changing rebound settings...

Have received some news on my BC Racing ER's... they were installed into the MX5 in Feb 2012, almost 7 years ago now. The last 3 years have almost all been on the track, so they have not had an easy life.

They will be going back in on the weekend, albiet with a few small changes to fix some issues in the setup that have started to appear. These BC ER's have been on the car for almost its whole journey and it has only been as my skills have increased have the issues with setup surfaced. It was not the BC's fault, rather mine.

Will have it back on the track soon to start evaluating the changes as well as a new setup procedure.

The application also has to include 2 photos of the driver and 2 of the car, as well as making sure all the answers are completed and Racepak is spelled correctly. Yes some people get it wrong...

Some people do not understand the amount of work that needs to be done to complete the application not to mention what needs to be done once you get on the Team. Yes there is a 'free' dash but nothing is free and it is expected that a Team member can give return value on Racepak's investment.

I enjoyed being on the team in 2018, hoping to get on the 2019 team. There are not very many people who are carried over each year!

They should do it live as they do each year. Last year I was watching whilst I was in a client meeting
