8/1990 Mariner Blue Australian NA paint
I searched and couldn't find a definitive answer. I am assuming that, if my paint is original, it has no clear coat. If I cut-and-polish, and blue comes off, does that mean that there is no clear coat?

If colour comes off when polishing then it'd be single stage (no clear coat) which is what'd I'd expect for a solid colour of that vintage.
