There’s plenty of threads confirming that NA and NB seats can be swapped between the two bodies, so that’s not what I’m asking.
But what about the seat rails - are they interchangeable between the two? Ie could NA seat rails be fitted to NB seats?

Re: Are NA and NB seat rails interchangeable?
Plenty written about this too.
Yes.
NA rails don't have a clasp. It is bolted back on the tunnel
NB rails come with clasp on the rails.
I have the NA rails with NB SE seats, clasp on tunnel.
Much prefer NB rails, as current setup results in lap belt riding up over tummy.
(The tops of my NB seats just meet the top bar of my half cage, which is difft to your bar).

Re: Are NA and NB seat rails interchangeable?
Brilliant, thanks. Couldn’t find anything about it in my searching - just thread after thread about entire NB seats being fitted into NA bodies.
Appreciate the extra information about the where the lap part of the seatbelt sits.

You might find if you are putting the NB sears into the NA that you need to retain the NA clasp.
If you want to be 100% legal.
I dont know this to be law i've only read tgis on here.
I have the NB8B seats. In an NA6. While they are a huge improvement on the original seat. They dont last that long.
While our Honda seats did 400,000 km. And ther were no signs of material wering througg. My mx5 seat would be lucky to last 200k km.
My original na6 leather seats were pretty nuch finished by 150k.(15 years) The nb8 b probaly have about the same they would be about that age as well.

Are you wearing sandpaper pants these days Stan?
I've never notice the 8B seats to be any more/less hardy than any other cloth seat.
The ones in my GF's NA had been in there for maybe 200,000km, and god knows how many in the NB they originally came out of.
apart from the expected few stains etc, there wasnt any particularly worn areas (apart from where the seatbelt stalk rubbed)
The only thing I've really noticed is that pretty much every NB8A seat i;ve seen has had the stitching on the headrest start to pull apart (where the vinyl back piece is sewn to the fabric front)
