If I was going N/A I'd keep the 2.5 head, go race cams and make sure the intake is port matched to take maximum advantage.

Standard CR for the 2.0l engine is 10.8:1. Not much to be gained from trying to increase it tbh

No. The MZR engines are different from the skyactiv engines.
Ford still use some MZR engines in their models. But MAzda is all Skyactiv nowadays.
