I have an 89 JDM NA6 and I've just purchased a set of the stainless steel sill covers that I believe were from the JDM Eunos Roadster. When I test fitted them (I assumed the Roadster logo goes towards the vehicles rear), I find that they're not long enough to meet back to the plastic trim either side leaving a gap:
What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to resolve it?

Normal. I put in a strip of thick black draft stopper tape to fill in the gap.

Really? Surely the JDM vehicles didn't leave the factory with a gap there! Maybe they had different trim plastics either side of them?
