That joke was shocking, but I don't want to dampen your spirits
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Any other advice that springs to mind?

Well it might take a bit of adjustment and I don't want to give a bump steer but shouldn't be long before he's upright and staying positive.

Sorry to put a dampener on proceedings but I needed to spring to it!

Had to cut a hole in the engine/firewall brace and use. 3mm allen key for adjustment. Probably a good excuse for a cusco brace

Rear adjusters need a bit of tidying.

Car sits lower bit not slammed, a little bit higher than legal minimum. I rolled the arches but these 9” rims comfortably fit now with the extra camber.

This alignment is a bit lower I’ve been able to get a fair bit more camber and also a degree of toe out. This has transformed the front end steering feel, much more weight, zero dead spot and less sensitive on turn in. I love it so far!

I’m going to do a 3 hour road trip tomorrow so will be able to form a better view then and of course it’s the Noosa Hillclimb this weekend but so far the car is much firmer, the ride is a fair bit harsher but I reckon it’s acceptable although Mrs Tart will have the final say! If I was purely after a fun road set up I’d go Bilstein/Eibachs, they’re awesome.

Enjoy, is a fun course. I contemplated going but car will not be ready, however will be heading up the Landsborough to pick up my dampers and fitting them on Sunday. Yes I will have MCA suspension fitted...

Aw crap, got about 30 mins into the planned drive today and the car overheated. It's at the local garage now being looked at as I don't have time between now and Friday's leaving time for Noosa.
I suspect it's either thermostat or cracked reservoir. I noticed the AC was behaving erratically just before so possibly a fan issue also.
On the plus side, wow oh wow does this new set up grip! On the few corners I got round up Mt Glorious I was nowhere near the limits.

oh bummer to hear about the engine mishap.

did you loose coolant? if the reservoir tank is cracked it will be pretty noticeable around where the cap sits.

if the thermostat is stuffed it usually throws a code and will take ages to get to operating temp, have never heard of one that fails to open, they usually always fail to shut

Very hot in the South East of Queensland at the moment :(

Good thing about Noosa is the track is shaded most of the time, whilst this then gives hot/cold spot on the black stuff it is good for keeping cars a little cooler.

I trust the mechanic will find the cause and will make bump in on Friday.

Coolant everywhere, didn’t notice anything obvious around the cap. The garage will test it for cracks and currently doing some diagnostics to see where the fault lies so fingers crossed I can get it sorted in time.

Is there shade you n the paddock or would you recommend a sunshade?
