Upper Front Ball Joints or Ebay Control Arms

Postby CrazyRacer » Wed Oct 31, 2018 10:01 pm

I found tired front upper ball joint on my NB and would like to replace it.

Not many places seem to stock them locally. Mania lists them, but appears to be out of stock.

The only other option I've found is to buy a complete Ebay arm with the ball joint included (for the same price as just the BJ from Mania)

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WAY2TUFF-FRONT-UPPER-WISHBONE-CONTROL-ARM-for-MAZDA-MX5-NB-09-98-08-05-/322465579710

The arms are branded "WAY2TUFF" which I've never heard of and I'm dubious of the quality. Does anyone have any experience of them or have another source I should try.

The Supermiata ones look the same as the IL Motorsport ones except for the branding and inclusion of the spacer for the early cars. I've fitted the ILM ones to the arms but have had a few things come up so still haven't put the arms back in the car.

Just saw this. Ours are forged, made in USA to our design. The IL Motorsport UBJ are neither.
American, but not fat
