Checking the oil level after I got home I was missing about 700ml. A bit would have gone out the exhaust when the turbo let go but I knew where the bulk of it would be Ordered a new intercooler as my justjap one is looking worse for wear anyway and wanted something a bit more efficient with the expected power upgrade coming.
Ordered a PWR tube and fin cooler.
This is a 500x200mm core and lined up to the existing cut cooler pipes perfectly. Was a bit of a pain to fit, going from a 140mm to a 200mm high core.
That extra 60mm was enough to foul the PS pipes and be rather close to the AC condensor inlet. PS lines can be bent but was a mission to bend them the way I needed. Not that PWR do one, but I'd recommend not going taller than 160mm for simplicity if you have AC still.
It also sits a little close to the frame rails too. I think Daffy on here has the 600x300 version and had to mod the intercooler to fit
Removing existing intercooler over 600ml of oil came out
PWR intercooler clearance with PS and AC pipes 'massaged' out of the way:
Does look good though

Also mid year had Dann install one of his Hotside engine mounts. WOW what a difference that made.
I did a comparo video, but annoyingly the FOV was different on the after video. You can still see the top of the stick on the after video on the right. It barely moves now and am no longer missing gears, especially on the south circuit.

"funnest" thing I've done. Night sessions at SMSP GP Circuit. This was from December 2017 and will try to do it again this year if the car is back together before they all book out. (yes I need better headlights - it wasn't as dark as the video suggests).

Re: Roadrunners SE
Josh, your not the only one with turbo issues. Got my car back from Dann after engine rebuild caused by blown piston rings, that took a while too !
Now have to replace my turbo after it failed again for the second time this year, so also going for the Garrett. Need mods to manifold and air intake which will take another 2 weeks at least so I'll be flagging at south circuit !! Again !!
My local mechanic doing the job, he did the original mods in 2016.
Good luck with yours, see you on a track somewhere ..................

I'll continue to use the 'age' excuse, I'm soon 70 so I think that's valid !!!
Any thoughts on what boost you will run ?

Wow, honestly would not have guessed that!!
Will leave boost levels up to Dan. Still on standard internals and don't want to go down the rebuild path, so whatever won't bend rods will do me.

It made 252whp on a very conservative tune.
he says its a LOT faster.
Hopefully everyone will see it at the track soon.

Re: Roadrunners SE
Yep she's quicker everywhere now (an extra 70-80HP will do that ). Very noticeable in hard launches and especially in the higher RPM.
Gave it a good wash and clean up last night, want to change coolant hoses and flush it all tonight, modify and refit the undertray and ducting after work on Saturday and then take it for a good long blast on Sunday!
Have had the battery light on the dash flash on for a split second just once each drive. The car has sat on a trickle charger for 3 months so could just be that the battery needs a good run for a few hours or the alternator is dying. Will set up the volt gauge and keep an eye on that one.
