If only I were allowed to take the boxster to lakeside, I'd be in. Damn happy-wife-happy-life rule strikes again.

Why wouldn’t she be happy if you’re doing something you’re passionate about?

The boxster is hers, and I've crashed it once already

HI Gents. I have decided to register for this one. Again, nervously as I haven't dríven Lakeside except for happy laps. This will be very new to me. I hope to see those of you who's are hitting the track and catch up for a chat on Friday. Looking forward to it. Sit got some prep to do. I have spend a couple of days just watching but it's time to pull the helmet. Cheers guys. Rick.

A healthy respect for Lakeside goes a long way towards driving the car home in the same condition as it arrived...minus fuel, rubber and some brake pad material but with a huge  on your face.

Glad to see you out on track. Just go comfortably, it’s about fun not lap times. Catch you there.

Thanks JBT for the info and advice. Much appreciated. I have been doing some more research on how to drive the track. I will be there for track walk. Then, as you say try to follow all the valued advice and have some self paced fun. :-)

Here is a link to "A Lap of Lakeside by Doug Chapple"

It's certainly worth a read but don't get too bogged down in the detail right away.

Stay within your limits and comfort zone and remember you aren't racing anybody and there are no sheep stations on offer. The aim of the day is to have fun and drive your car home with a gigantic grin on your face at the end of the day.

Thanks I was trying to find that!

2/12 will be my next track day. Will be almost 6 weeks and with a complete new suspension setup.
