Help needed with CEL on SE

Postby luzinit » Sat Oct 27, 2018 9:50 pm

Hi guys,
I have a stock SE which started misfiring intermittently 6months ago. Pulling engine codes indicated p0351 which is one of the ignition circuits.

Proceeded to replace spark plugs and ignition leads which did not fix the issue. Next up the cam position sensor was replaced by mania, still no good.

I figured it was the coilpack so ordered a COP kit from fab9. After installing the kit, car runs a lot smoother but CEL now comes up and both p0351 and p0352 codes for both coil packs are being registered.

Fab9 have replaced the igniter module but the problem still exists.

I'm at my wits end now.. car also seems to be boosting fairly high (around 15psi) midway through 3rd or 4th gear where it sputters bouncing off that boost limit.

Car is stock other than the factory ebc being removed so I believe it is running off wastegate pressure.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

Maybe nothing to do with your issue but if the factory ebc module has been removed has the resistor mod been done on the remaining loom plug? I had a CEL when that resistor burned out - but would have to look back to see what code it threw up. Is there no MBC fitted?

If you've not already seen the following, it contains many trouble-shooting & other manuals for the SE/MSM: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing
