It ranthis morning. So i know it is wired up right. But i dont know why its not running. No spark.
Unsure if no 4 wire had anything to do with it.

Between moving. Family I haven't had a real lot of time to do much.
I moved from Seaforth with a huge front Yard to Leichardt with nothing. Patchy was put into storage. First time in its life where it sits in a garage.
Last time I got it to run was August 4th. It ran. I drove it around the front yard. I think weve been in our Current place now 6-8 weeks. In that time Ive managed to look at patchy once since shes bee towed to the new location
Patch's physical location is in a different part of Sydney.

so the next step was.
get the CAS repaired. I figured it would be the easiest & cheapest option.
I read that the NA Cam Angle sensors are interchangeable from the NA 6's to the NA8's
except it just doesn't quite work like that
While the CAS is interchangeable....the internals of the 1,6 will not fit into the 1,8 or vice versa.

so.... it was decided to go for the NB8A sensors along with the 36-2 trigger wheel
.....but then yesterday I felt the need to accomplish something....

while I got Patchy blue-slipped with a Mania intake many years ago.....I cant see it happening today.
I think in 2002 i had taken patchy off the road for 12 months thanks to some kids arriving via the stork or is it the pelican ?I blue slipped her with the Mania CAI 12 months later,
its kind of been bothering me...so I decided to install the standard air box & make the cross pipe fit. I knew where the air box was cause I found it under the house recently when we had to move. That air box & snorkel have been sitting under my house for 17 years. LOL.

so the next step will be to refit the sensors I took off.
I will also have to pull down the Cam belt as I need to change the Cam sprocket. Current one is not compatible with the NB8A Cam angle sensor .
I'll be ordering a 36-2 trigger wheel & some other bits to make it all work.
The wiring of the COPS is fine. I know because it ran fine on Aug 4th.
Ive also checked them with a volt meter & there is plenty of spark when testing the coils in Tuner Studios.
I will also have to pull down the Cam belt as I need to change the Cam sprocket. Current one is not compatible with the NB8A Cam angle sensor .

Got some goodies from Beavis Motorsports today.

Although i have adjustable cam sprokets , they are not suitable for the NB CAS....
Anyway i hope my sensors are not toast.
Coulnt resist more bling....that oilcap.....cant wait to put it on

a few updates
installed the 36-2 wheel. Wired up the cam angle sensors. still nothing.
I then got an aftermarket Cam sensor & replaced the existing crank angle sensor. installed adjustable NB cam sprockets
had some strange signals in tuner studios. but no spark.
I must have installed & reinstalled those sensors a dozen times. Re checked the COPS wiring, rechecked every wire Ive touched.
still no spark. &no start.
I then pulled down the front. since the aftermarket sprockets didn't have obvious marks on them I spent a good amount of time to get the cam timing right. But really what does something mechanical have to do with no spark?
anyway it didn't start.....100% because of the battery was flat.
I started charging the battery and haven't looked at it since disconnecting the battery charger a few days later. That must been mid to late November? I never started it because I had someone else disconnect the battery. Kind of lost a little enthsiasam
A friend has given us some fabulous furniture the word is....Patchy is in the way. We need the space to store furniture..... go figure.
So in my head I was thinking about all the things I need to revert to standard. I still have them somewhere but we moved house 6 montha ago.....
so a list of connectors & bits & pices were being put together in my head.
Last week we rolled patchy out of the garage where she's being stored, its still has 15 month old E85 in the tank. She started......

Witch Craft of a Yogi Master I met over Christmas. I'm telling you.
She told me to channel positive thoughts. She will hold space.
so then a few things were sorted for a driving permit & off she goes to the exhaust shop
she sounds like a tractor.
she drives very quite & smooth at this moment as she has all the stock standard air box & AFM fitted. Standard cams & so on.
currently having some issues with the Wideband. Its not connecting , Hopefully I'll have patchy on the road for next week.
as to what the cause was?
I'm really not sure..
The butchered Alarm System under the dash? somehow got reset? was on spark cut off mode? very plausible.
Different MS2 Map. I checked & checked. I vaguely recall loading a new base-map. But changed all the settings anyway. also plausible
The cam timing. may have helped the starting....but cant see it affecting the spark. unless it was out 1 tooth?
Witch Craft. channeling psoitive thoughts. got a white Witch involved...... Totally plausible

So the last thing was to calibrate the wideband O2 sensors. It just didnt want to play. Wouldn’t allow me to connect to it directly either. So I figured. It’s probably toast. Got a replacement one in the post yesterday. Calibrated& installed this morning & it all works fabulously.
Other smaller things like the front fender air dam, tying up all the loose electrical under the dashboard , making the tacho work were also sorted.
Speed lent me a good looking AFM & airbox to make it all stock standard looking. Mind you the bling air intAke couldn’t be helped.
Patchy is getting a blue slip mid next week.
