Oil control valve removal

On the NB vvt engine, does the cam cover have to come off to remove the oil control valve, or just the cover that the hard line and solenoid are attached to?

Thanks, that bit is easy - I’m thinking about the valve that sits under the cover that the solenoid bolts to.
