Coincidentally, I was at MCA only 30 minutes ago. I believe Josh is in, or on his way to, Sydney. :wink:

Maybe he could have a look if he has a moment or get you to go to some place for a thorough check and quality alignment. You could contact MCA and see if there is any possibility of this happening.

I would be pulling the rears out and starting again. Making sure everything lines up and matches left to right.

Got my PS4 fitted from jax thornleigh yesterday and ended up getting an alignment from them as well. Turns out the rear wheels were quite off.

Haven’t gotten the chance to really push it. But for now I think it’s solved the problem. Thanks for everyone’s input.

It had slight rear toe out.

It would have had this prior to swapping the shocks.

That's a fair bit of toe out on the left rear wheel, plus the right was toe in.
Was the car worse on right hand corners?

Put some load on that LR corner, cue spike in heart rate ...

When u replaced the suspension you are supposed to get an alignment, which would have avoided this problem.

Replacing coilovers in an mx5 doesnt change anything about the alignment.

Assuming that the new alignment figures are correct and the machine is calibrated, the previous alignment job was hopeless. Would have been even more fun in the wet. :shock:

Didn’t need it to be wet, it was already sliding around corners just by downshifting when turning. Very fun on wide roundabouts. Not very fun when it spins out in the rain.

For now, the alignment and the wheels is keeping the car planted. Now I wish there was a LSD and even less body roll.

No it’s a 2006 manual nc1

I actually was scrolling the forums this morning and you said in one of the posts that manual nc have lsd??
