Sadly, the SX4 vents do NOT fit as they are a larger diameter
...and when looking at them from the outside, there are three flaps rather than the two on the Mitsubishi item.

Re: Replacement Dash Vents
I saw those too (SX4 vents) when I was looking for the Eclipse vents, and nearly tried it. It seems many have been buying the dash vents from the Eclipse lately. They are selling quick in eBay, and prices have gone up.

Re: Replacement Dash Vents
...strike two!
I managed to find smaller vents with the two swivelling flaps from the same o/s eBay supplier. They don't have the outer ring and are a light grey colour. They are also shorter depth and looked like they were going to "do the trick", but once again weren't able to be used for the task.
At least my total outlay so far has only been less than $A20, so I now have to decide whether to have another try or just put up with the original vents...

... or just buy the Eclipse vents?

Re: Replacement Dash Vents
With a bit of persuasion, I have decided that they do fit after all (?)
I'm not really convinced, however will give them a try as I can revert to the originals fairly easily if they don't do the job for us.
I'm not prepared to go to the trouble/expense of buying the Eclipse vents, particularly if some un-reversable modification is required to make them fit.

Re: Replacement Dash Vents
No non reversible mods required to fit the eclipse vents. They are the tried and proven method and work well, can swivel, direct the air as wanted and close individual vents off. Nothing wrong with trying new ideas, just that it can often prove more costly in the end.
