Oh and here is a pic of the intercooler in sexy black. If you compare it to the pic earlier in the thread you will notice it is much more discreet Hehe

Nice! I have given my intercooler the same treatment. With your new engine our cars will be very similar!

Re: Swile's SE
I will start this update off with my usual "sorry for the lack of updates". The SE is running well, making plenty of power now.
Quick summary of how i got to this point:
After installing my new built motor and having it tuned to match the lower compression, the tuner was having all sorts of troubles with driveability issues. It was driveable and when you were up it for the rent it was fine, so i had a few track days and road trips, but was never completely happy. My car is just a problem child, while i knew how good the previous tuner was at tuning honda's, it was clear i needed a mx5 specialist.
So i got in touch with Nitro Dann and a plan started to come together. The Adaptronic and IHI Turbo went in the bin (metaphorically), replaced with a Megasquirt, Twist mount manifold, new dump pipe and GT2560r. I had the parts delivered to me and installed them with the help of a mechanic friend (he did most of it).

We loaded the SE onto a car trailer behind our trusty van and set off for the 3 and a half hour drive to Raymond Terrace.

While it was off having Nitro Dann work his magic, the easter weekend in Glen innes came around so we got permission to bring the NSX. It stood out a bit lol.

When it was time to pick up the SE i was pretty nervous. My car was never enjoyable to drive other than flat out. I was starting to think it wouldn't be possible to get it driving properly. Boy was I in for a shock. Not only is it now a weapon under full throttle, it also had most of its issues ironed out ( i say most of only because we hit my budget limit, Nitro Dann explained to me the few things i need to replace to finish it off).

Ended up making 259hp at the rears, but more than that, it doesnt sit there hunting for idle and i can now drive through car parks without wishing i was in my daily.
I highly recommend Nitro Dann if you want your mx5 to go fast, but still drive like it should everywhere else.
Had some fun times over christmas with the local car community meet.

Finally got my personalize plates.

And we finally built our dream Garage/Workshop. No more parking outside for the SE!

Now that the big stuff is out of the way, my too do list is:
- Paint and install new bumper
- Install new carbon miata, carbon fibre front SE lip
- Replace TPS
- Replace rear bushes to stop it crabbing under power
- Roll Bar
- Replace my 16x7 Work Wheels (looking at 15x8)
- A really good detail now that it is stored inside.
Looking forward to more track work.

Lol, 4 year gap "sorry for the lack of updates"
I've seen your posts on Instagram, car looks great. Dann does nice work. What did Dann say needs doing to get more out of it?

Very awesome
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Haha Cant say i blame you, it makes my mx5 feel like a toy. My partner is a "bit" of a Honda fanatic and was lucky enough to buy it off his uncle as it was his daily since near new. He has spent alot of money, time and effort restoring it. Im sure my mx5 is envious that i havent given that much effort to it lol.

Re: Swile's SE
That explains the Hondas! Don't see too many NSX's around, makes them all the cooler!
Don't get me wrong, I'm envious of you built motor SE as well. One day mine will get the treatment. One day!
