NC brake pads

Can anyone recommend a brake pad for the standard NC calipers that suit the Sprint format where you do 1 out lap, 5 fast laps and a cool down?
NC1 - 2.5 opposite lock device

Winmax W5's (work from cold on the street as well). I ran these for a while both on/off the track. They maybe a little dusty for some. For my track use 6 sets of W5 pads to a set of rotors. Whereas only 4 sets of W6.5's (not recommended for your use) are needed to wear out a set of rotors.

If dust is a concern then look at the W3's, again I ran these for a while on the track with no fade issues. However as my 'skill' increased the pad type changed, hence went to W5's then W6.5's.

Also consider changing the brake fluid before you go to the track, especially if its age is unknown.

You might be able to get away with QFM a1rms as well. Brakes direct sell these.

I have been using the Winmax W5s for a while now, and the 5's are passable on the street, they just won't work straight away, specially on cold mornings, so it's just something you should be away of.

Not available (or weren't a year or so ago, for the NC. Had to use HPX. Excellent low dust pad for the street but tend to fade on track day sprints at about lap four/five.

Thanks. Sadly they’re mostly out of stock of the NC version or it’s much more expensive when you select the NC version.

Is the car standard or modified?
What tyres are you planning on using?

The OP is looking at using the car on the track, hence a pad that can handle some heat. Yes tyre choice will have an impact on pad selection, as there is not much point in having a race pad if the tyres cannot handle the braking force. The OP is also looking for A050's (other post) so I guess these will be the tyres.

For example this is a photo of when I was using Winmax W3's on the QR sprint layout... in excess of 630c this is in excess of what the W3 should be subjected to! Mind you this was because the rear was 'dragging' slightly. The key to pad selection is matching it to use and if you have ducting etc.

Thanks guys, I’ve researched all the suggested pads and like everything Motorsport related my choice ended up being a compromise of price and availability so I have a set of QFM A1RMS on their way from Brakes Direct.
I’ll do a quick review on my thread in Garage Chat.
