The install was a breeze, as quick and easy as shown on Brendan’s YouTube vid.
It feels great- sits rock solid in place and snaps into gear like a bear trap. Such a notable difference in the speed of the shift changes. :BROADY:
Now all I need is a quality weighted gear nob..... any suggestions?

Voodoo FTW.

Black, round, sits low on the shaft, and mine has no shift pattern - very clean appearance.

I should add that it is on a tall angled MR short-shifter.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Ahh yes sorry mine is a Blox branded one. Couldn’t remember the brand.

I use a Blox too (on stock shift) and find it really nice. The extra weight certainly makes a difference in shifting. Thought about fitting a SSK quite often, but I'm wussy about all the comments about extra shifting effort and noise transmission, especially as my wife drives my SE as well.

Thanks for the suggestions all, at this stage I think I’ll take up Lachys offer to “try before I buy” (I’ll give you a call to tee up a time soon mate).
I do like the tall shifter idea for the minimum reach from the steering wheel like Magpies and greenMachine, (may have to get a spare something along those lines for track days.) I have to say the voodoo looks neat as do the skunk/blox brand.
Lokiel...... a gearstick up the duck butt heat protection cover may be practical, but thats just DESPICABLE!!!

A functioning reverse lockout? Tell me more. I'd love to have a reverse lockout in my NB.
