Installing my EZ ON top and Robbins rain rail. Robbins instructions say to move rubber lip of rear surround so it points up against the soft top itself. Spent F*cking hours trying to achieve same. No dice. Looked at several videos and instructions from other manufacturers and no one else says anything about it. Arghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else have the same joy?
I could kick Robbins in the NUTS!

Re: I could kick Robbins in the NUTS!
I haven't yet had the (dis)pleasure of installing a new top. Though I'm sure I will some day, by which point I will have forgotten about this post and have the same conundrum
So, are you saying you just had to leave it as it sits and get on with it?

I/m saying exactly that. Menioned it to the guy who sold me the top but not the rail. He had never heard of it.

I took my old top off a while ago to have it restitched. I did see the instructions to leave the nuts loose but it still was a PITA. I did get there eventually. Getting into position to tighten the nuts, even with the passenger seat out was a lot of fun for a big old bloke too.

I found tilting the opposite seat forward sufficient. I am an old fat bloke too- 145kg and 46 years old...
