Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Congrats on the PB Mark.
Didn't realise it was Dylan driving the 86. Certainly wasn't a great idea by the driver of the Pulsar to drop straight onto the racing line when exiting the pits.
Hope the gearbox issue is a easy fix.

... and less hassle in the long run to simply replace it with a BMW gearbox - Aisin 6-speeds SUCK!

If (and when needed), I think I will move this way, I’ve been reading up a bit about it. The gearbox is the reason why so far I stay just south of the 400hp.
I’m so keen to see this years efforts with you and the new Racepak team hook up Magpie- hoping to catch up with you soon!

Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Gearbox issue found....
The clutch snapped a band hence would not release fully... more than likely caused by a high RPM down change... Really need to work on the rev matching down change.
Ipswich Gearbox Repairs has given me some options, and the car will be having a custom clutch built that will hopefully also be less mass. The flywheel needs a closer inspection as there is some heat damage.
This has been in the car for almost 4 years and 10,000 hard km's
Good decision to call it quits when I did. Was asked if I heard anything. My response was it is over 110db in the cabin and I wear earplugs, so no.

Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Car back home, has a new 5 puck ceramic (15mm dia smaller) clutch and flywheel. A few other jobs done (remote clutch fill point, rear main seal and turret gasket).
Had big plans this weekend, but decided to spend it doing work instead However did get some more jobs ticked off...
- Remote jump start point (0 AWG wire with 175 amp Anderson plugs).
- HANS harness, old harness expires this year. Must thank Andrew for popping over to say high and helping with the seat removal for the harness install.

Is this one of the new ones Lightyear is making or an older version?

Paint some clouds and maybe some flying birds on the inside, a-la Michelangelo in the Sistene Chapel, and you'll feel like you're still topless!

Genius! And you know what kind of birds should be painted, right?

I do like HR Geiger, something like this.
I could use it for sponsors...
However I am open for suggestions
