Next Items on the list that I want to address are:

- New control arm bushes
- New upper ball joins
- New Diff bushes
- Possible wheel bearings all round

For now, just driving the car around is awesome.

All of my photos are uploaded to Imgur. I find it pretty easy to use and has been reliable.

So my better half bought me a present... A nice classic luggage rack. I'm a fan and do enjoy the look and how you might use this particular luggage rack...
Upon first fit I found the clubman badge was in the way! I ended up pulling it off rather easily, cleaning everything and then placing it on again. See below.

Had a day off so I decided to drive up Beechmont. Every other mx5 i've owned has this photo in the exact same spot lol.

New wheel feel!
I ended up swapping my set of RPF01 for these mint condition SSR MK-IIs. Please excuse the dirty wheels, car and photo quality.

Front- 14x6.5 +7 (slip-on spacer used to clear brakes)
Rear- 14x7 0

I'd prefer not to run a staggered set of wheels but nonetheless I'm really enjoying the look as I feel it is more period correct. Plus It's time to move on to something other than RPF1s haha.

They are pushing it for width on the front and rear so I'm thinking lower the car a tiny bit (to encourage negative camber), replace control arms with new bushes and get an alignment ASAP.

4th set of wheels in ~6 months! They're cool wheels though, and 14s look so meaty. What size tyres are on there?

Haha Thanks! This is my first set of SSR wheels over all the other mx5s too! The tyres are 185/65r14 Re001s.

Not much of an update but these did arrive and I have since dropped off my control arms & tow hooks to get sand blasted and powdercoated.

I had some spare time so I decided to steam clean the carpets and seats... when I took out the seat one of captive nuts holding one of the seat rail bolts decided it didn't want to be captive anymore... Luckily a friend of mine is handy with welding and helped me out.

First, the offending nut. We cut it out and welded the captive nut on a rectangle piece of steel and tacked it into place to check if everything lines up with the seat mounted. It did luckily so then we finished up the welding, ground it down and gave it a quick lick of paint. See below.

A similar story happened with the headlight bracket when I decided to take it all apart to clean... A clean snap! So my friend just tacked it into place for now. Next weekend I will take it all apart, grind it down and seal everything with paint.

With these cars it feels like You fix a rattle or broken piece and find the next thing to do! But you kind of forget about all that when you jump in and just drive.

So I have bought a Nb8b... for cheap!

This particular nb8b has some panel damage so I thought this would be the perfect candidate to swap absolutely everything into the clubman. I'm thinking driveline, subframes, vvt engine, interior and all electrics... The best of both worlds.

In saying that I will be parting out most of the NA... minus any crucial bits needed in the conversion. I will also sell off the remaining NB items, so please if you want first dibs on anything do let me know and I'll write your name down on my list of parts.

The conversion will most likely happen late June, early July.
