Had the clutch pulled out and the springs were loose causing the rattle at low motor rpms. Most of the noises gone now!

The fix was a new clutch plate.

No worries. The mech wasn’t suprised and had even predicted it as one of the common “hard to pinpoint” drivetrain noises.
I took a video of how much noise shaking the plate made, I’ll see if I can post it.
Car is much quieter and more enjoyable to drive at low speeds. Win!
