NA6 - did they have factory fitted front grill?

Postby twr7cx » Wed Mar 28, 2018 12:29 pm

Should my 89 JDM NA6 have a factory fitted front grill in the air dam of the front bar? If not, where/how are the aftermarket ones that I see available for sale mounted?

Nope. Rivets and bolts and the like.

As above, no factory grille, just an open hole and the radiator behind it.

Most of the aftermarket ones just mount with a couple of screws and small brackets.

Personally I think the grilles look rubbish, but different strokes etc.

I made my own which fits with rubber friction.
Does not look obvious in its location. Keeps stones and bugs from damaging or blocking any of the coolers.

I wouldnt say significantly, depending on the mesh type.
Most stuff will still flow fine, unless it's that godawful drilled steel that was all the rage in the 90s.
