Speaker troubles

I have an original bose system and have an issue with my speakers.
When I first take the car out of the garage the speakers make a vibrating noise so bad that I have to turn the stereo off.
Sit her in the sun for a bit and the speakers are sweet!
Sux on overcast days driving without tunes
I've checked and the cones look good.

Any ideas ?!?

But yeah, no genuine idea what's happening with your speakers. Usual stuff - check all the wiring inside the door is held in place and not rattling against anything. You'd have taken the speakers out to look at the cones, so assume all the screws etc would be back in tight. The cones could have got wet at some stage and softened - they would still look OK, but by sitting in the warmth of the sun, they would "stiffen" and possibly stop rattling. Unless someone with more knowledge has some good ideas, it sounds like there's probably no way round fitting new speakers.

Haha yeah new exhaust is on the cards

New speakers it is then! Suggestions on a decent brand? Don't want cheap crap in my baby lol

I'm certainly no audiophile ... I've always been happy with Pioneer for head units and speakers, but I reckon the best thing is to go in and listen to them.

Edit: ... an alternative is if you like the Bose ones in there now (when their not rattling), see if anyone on here has some they've removed they want to sell ...

Also just thinking back I think there was an issue with replacing the speakers on the Bose system ... maybe someone who's done it could answer that?

Thanks heaps! I might go talk to an audio place today and see what they say.
Otherwise there is a guy on here I bought a second hand stereo from....I'll track him down

Ah ... found that issue I had in mind ...

Reading that I'm guessing normal 4ohm speakers can't be used with the Bose head unit.

I had the same problem recently with my car. the speakers would make a cracking noise especially going over bumps. didn't happen all the time though.

it was the big plug into the back of the headhunt not being fully plugged in. check that first, could be a simple fix!
