so for the past week ive been searching for dwell times for the d514a coil packs. though I couldn't really find anything much, i did find lokiels post with volts and percentages, though i wasn't really sure how to input that into my adaptronic as it uses rpm's and volts, ive been running the dwell times from the truck coils for the past week and it works good i haven't had any problems but ive been worried that im going to fry the coil packs. so i wound up finding the software that the v8 guys in America use, its called hptuners it has a free trial period so you can get what you need for free and it has a few base maps in there, you'll have to check the make of the car and work out what coil packs it uses, but for the d514a coil packs im using the map from the Pontiac gto and the dwell times between the car and truck coil packs are very different. anyway just thought id share what i found

I'd recommend using around 3.5ms at 14V since some of the LS coils have "safety" protection inbuilt and will discharge once they are saturated which can cause dangerous over advance of ignition.
Bit of a stupid safety feature tbh since you save a coil-pack while risking your engine. I know which one costs more.

The guide recommends 3.5ms for all LS coils (used to recommend 4.5ms) however I haven't measured what the required dwell time at different voltage is personally. Perhaps a little project I should work on although I'm sure someone has already done this. I definitely would not run any of them around 5-6ms.

Been through the D514a dwell time thing before.

I'm now using Savington's (Andrew/TSE) Dwell times for my D514a coils.

Yeah this post is where I got the D585 dwell times from. Is it safe to run the truck coil pack dwell times on the d514a. Because as I was looking at the dwell table yesterday for the Pontiac GTO, which uses the d510c (and I think the d514a which Im not 100% sure but is the same coil pack just different design) the dwell times were roughly 1.5 milliseconds lower then the truck coil packs across the board. I can take a screen shot of the dwell table tonight so you can see the differences between the two

And then these are the ls2 car coils, the dwell times at 14v really start to decrease in the higher rpms compare to the other 2
